Take that Penn State!

January's over. That took what, 2 days? Seriously. It was there, and then it was gone. That's kinda weird. January usually takes about 5 years to go by. I got to flip my calendar to February, though. That's always exciting. Most annoying part of that is, of course, rent. I hate dumping money into this place every month. They don't need it. Not that much, anyway. Stupid "We can charge college students anything" mentality. Too bad it's a reality. We gots ta live somewhere, and unless you want to live an hour away, nowhere's cheap.

Animal Planet is apparently my home for horses. That's strange. I'm quite positive there was a show about stupid scorpions on yesterday. Scorpions are most definitely not horses.

OLYMPICS IN A WEEK AND A HALF! I don't know why I'm so excited about this. I think it reminds me of the Olympics four years ago. Ahhhh, the good ol' days. Watching curling at lunch, muted, trying to figure out how the hell you play the stinkin' game. Such fun. That was when all my friends still lived in Athens.

I REALLY wish my advisor would get back to me on meeting her to go over this stupid Specialized Studies application. I'm running short on time for this at the moment. It's just so irritating when you get to a point in something when all you can do is wait for someone else to take care of their end of it. I'm about to just give up on her and go talk to someone else. Dr. Daugherty said he thinks I'm a good student. That means he at least knows who I am, so maybe I'll have him go over it with me.

I got an exam back today. I got a B+ on it and I am pissed. I knew that stuff so well, missed 4 questions (three of them due to stupidity) and it knocked me all the way down to a B+. Grrrrrrr.

You know, the colors on this thing are rather depressing. Oh well. I like them.

Bleh
I'm really not too fond of this week. Granted, it's only been two days and it could easily get better, but still, at this moment, not too fond of it.

I'm watching a show on TV and one of the kids has a few broken ribs and for some reason that makes me think that my ribs hurt. How weird. I'm just too empathic. Haha.

Six minutes to TV Night. Such bliss!

I got James R Potts's W-2 in the mail this weekend. I'm sure he appreciates that. I guess I'll have to go give the post office what for. Not that it's their fault. Mr. Potts just neglected to inform them that he doesn't live here anymore. However, they did shove a book I ordered in my mailbox where it doesn't fit, even though the package clearly stated, "FRAGILE, DO NOT BEND!" The envelope was torn to shreds and there's a giant crease down the middle of my brand new book. Jerks.

Time for TV Night!! Hooray!

Finally! 6 months on the market. Practically to the day. Unfortunately, my parents have nowhere to go now. So I guess they'll spend much of the next few weeks looking for a new home. It's kind of exciting. Which is quite the contrast to how my sister feels. The move makes her sad. That strikes me as quite odd. Becky, who lives full time in Toledo now, is sad that the house is no longer ours, and Jacci, who still lives at home on breaks from school, thinks it is a fun, new change. I don't feel as much of a connection to it as she does, I guess. I think it's the massive amount of development going on behind our house. When we moved in it was practically the country. The only thing behind us was a cornfield. A big giant cornfield that went on as far as I could see. Now, even though we were promised it would never happen, it's houses as far as I can see. Boo on developers!

I am dying. Completely and utterly. I like Ohio and all. Where else can you experience every season all in a matter of hours? But, unfortunately, exciting though the spontaneous season swaps are, they also wreak havoc on my head.

Also, I am freezing.

That is all.

I started cleaning my apartment and now I don't want to finish. That'll teach me for trying to do that on a Tuesday night. Tuesdays are NOT for cleaning. I really need to clean this place, though. I've discovered that living by yourself kind of takes away the drive to make this place look presentable. I'm the only one that sees it and I don't really care that much. Now, I'm not saying there's food all over the floor and bugs all over the place eating that food. It's just pretty dusty and the floor wasn't too clean. It's a little cluttered in here, too.

In other news, I badly need to see Avenue Q. It won three Tonys! Unfortunately the only places it's playing that I know of are New York and Las Vegas. I'm not too close to those places. Nor would it be very affordable if I was. It is not my understanding that Broadway and Vegas are cheap.
